About Nordic ID
A small company with a big reputation
Originally a small engineering company, Nordic ID, based in Salo, Finland, has grown to be one of the main providers of hand-held terminals and computers in Europe.
Nordic ID has offices in Germany, UK, The Netherlands, France and USA. Our clients include retailers, logistics, distribution and transport organizations together with industrial and service companies. Customers such as Spar, Co-op, Adidas and WH Smith have all chosen Nordic ID.
The breakthrough product was the RF500, a handheld data terminal. Compared to competing products, it was lightweight and easy to use with one hand - a feature that soon became the trademark of all Nordic ID's products. Following on the success of the RF500, Nordic ID has introduced several RF-series terminals and the PL-series advanced Windows* based handheld units. Annually we supply over 10.000 products.

Today, Nordic ID produces handheld devices that combine the cutting edge of technology with standard communication systems to maximize interaction with our customers’ business networks in retail, industry, health care, warehousing and field service.
Our aim is to leverage existing infrastructures while ensuring interconnectivity with other devices using the latest mobile telecommunications technology. The handhelds themselves are designed to be as easy and intuitive to operate as possible thus ensuring a comfortable user experience and a fast track to productivity.
Building on this flexible approach, Nordic ID advances future proof design with its most outstanding offering yet, Nordic ID Morphic – a handheld device, which chameleon-like, synchronizes with its environment and evolves to fit new technologies as they emerge.
