The Company

Gina Tricot is a Swedish fashion chain offering exciting, feminine fashion to women in over 30 countries. From tricot tops to international fashion destination. Lots of fashion for the money. That was the concept discussed at the Appelqvist family’s kitchen table in Borås. At its inception in 1997, the core idea behind Gina Tricot was to give female customers a happy surprise each time they saw the price tag on items sold in Gina Tricot stores. Today, Gina Tricot has more than 160 stores located throughout Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Germany.

The Challenge

The goal of implementing an RFID-based inventory solution was to increase stock accuracy by enabling efficient and correct stock takes. This would solve related issues such as big deviations in perceived stock levels in stores and the actual levels in the ERP

The Solution

Gina Tricot’s RFID implementation project in the store included customizing item data collection functionalities for the chosen handheld RFID reader, Nordic ID HH53.
